Last week, we took some time off with the NU team at La maison qui chante, the beautiful retreat of Halewijn Lievens and his partner in northern France. It was the perfect setting to reflect on NU’s values, our projects, and the way we collaborate. Together with Wouter Vervecken and Bert Vandenbussche, we explored themes of leadership, giving and receiving feedback, and how to remain mindful of each other’s boundaries in our intense and demanding jobs.
We wandered through the rolling landscapes of Le Thiérache, soaked up the sun in the garden and valley, cooked and shared homemade meals, and closed the days with music and long conversations by the fire.
