3 ongoing construction sites in Meise

At the Plantentuin Meise, a lot of things are happening simultaneously, and we love being part of this! Currently, NU architectuuratelier has 3 ongoing construction sites.
The completion of the Green Ark visitor pavilion, nestled in a sea of glasshouses, is in its final stages and will open its doors to the public later this year. These new glasshouses featuring climate zones from across the globe will house the living collection and are complemented with a renovated interbellum building facilitating research and office program with a seed-chamber and staff cafeteria.
An innovative nature-inclusive parking, part of the new reception infrastructure and with the ambition to design an exemplary park where you also can leave your car, is coming up.
And last, the construction site for the renovation and reconversion of the Pachthof and Castle of Bouchout has kicked-of. This project will provide meeting spaces for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Exhibitions), a restaurant for visitors and for staff, a picnic area, and a welcoming home for bats in the tower!
