Exploring NU architectuuratelier
monography NU architectuuratelier
On the occasion of the exhibition “Play. NU architectuuratelier” at BOZAR, A+ Architecture in Belgium and Bozar, in collaboration with Verlag Walther & Franz König, published our first monograph: “Exploring NU architectuuratelier”.
In this book, Halewijn Lievens and Armand Eeckels delve deeply and candidly into the themes and anecdotes that connect their work. They reveal the underlying links and sources of inspiration that shape NU’s architectural approach, presented through a rich visual narrative. The second part features an essay by Stefan Devoldere, outlining the studio’s winding development, with projects serving as guiding milestones. The publication concludes with an extensive portfolio of our projects, including plans and imagery by Stijn Bollaert.
The book emphasizes NU’s empathetic approach to the design process and explores the qualitative impact of the work on our social and spatial environment. It offers insight into the studio’s intuitive and investigative thinking, often inspired by seemingly everyday elements.
This monograph was published on the occasion of the exhibition “Play. NU architectuuratelier”, dedicated to the work of NU architectuuratelier, which took place at the Palace of Fine Arts in Brussels from October 18, 2023, to January 28, 2024.
